KleanColor Holo Review

So I bought these of Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/Trendy-Nail-Polish-Lacquers-Filers/dp/B005EMSGDW/ref=sr_1_10?ie=UTF8&qid=1343012780&sr=8-10&keywords=nail+polish+lot

All in all these end up being a around a dollar each.
If you are interested in specific colors, like I was, I contacted the seller directly and he let me choose which colors I wanted.

The one to the left is KleanColor Holo Chrome #94, the one on the right is KleanColor Holo Pink #134

All of these holos have similar formula and application. It was a bit thick and took 3 coats to become completely opaque. The brush is descent enough but the smell and drying time leave something to be desired. Still, for the effect, it is worth the dry time.

3 Coats of Holo Chrome + stamping, beading and a bit of bedazzling.
For my stamping polish I used a milani white that I had left open for 3 days until it was thick enough. About twice a day I would shake the bottle and check the thickness till it was where I needed it to be. The polish happened to be on clearance when I got it so I paid about a dollar for a pretty good white stamping polish.
The image I used was Red Angle Plates RA-110
There is a Link to where I purchased them and let me tell you they are the most user friendly of all the plates I have. A deep cut can be very forgiving to new stampers so even when I started these plates were always super easy to use.

Here is the Holo Pink. 3 Coats + Stamping, beading and bedazzling

For my stamping polish I used Black Creme from Wet And Wild Fast dry. This is a grea alternative to Konad, costs range from 1-2 dollars. and is ready to go straight out of the bottle

On the Left is KleanColor Holo Green # 136, on the right is KleanColor Holo Blue

This Manicure was 3 coats of KleanColor holo Blue + stamping, beading and Bedazzling

Finally I am showing the pogression of coats using Holo Green

After putting on my base coat I painted my nails with this random nail polish. It was a gift and did not come with a name. It is a pretty color though, black with orange/red glitter inside :)

China Glaze Luxe and Lush from the hunger games collection.
In the bottle this polish is spiffy. The flecks of duo chrome glitter just begged to go on your polish.
There is defiantly a texture present. Even with just one coat of Luxe and Lush, followed by Seche Vite, I could feel the sharp edges of the glitter  Still, it is just so darn pretty!! The flecks of glitter sparkle in green orange and copper/gold.

I did 2 different designs for ya, Glitter Gradient and 1 coat.

For the glitter gradient, where the glitter was thickest, it took 2 coats of seche vite and I can still feel the sharpness of the flecks. Also, it makes having a clean edge a bit more a challenge.

The one coat is nice, There is texture to it but it is very minimal under the top coat

I then had a bit of fun and added a doted french tip using my white and pink migi pens. You could also use any white polish and a dotting tool

Fun in the sun!!
This is such a cute tweeny summer design that I felt as though I should have been carrying a Hello Kitty Back pack instead of a Diaper bag :)

Makes you want to go to the mall or drink a strawberry milk shake and twirl your hair, doesn't it?!

Anyways, this is how It went down.

First came the base coat, can't forget the base coat unless you want stained nails. I used my favorite stand by, china glaze strong adhesion base coat.

Next came 2 coats of a pretty Fuschia Polish named You're a Pisa work by OPI.

Next I added these fabulous tips using Metallic Aqua by Klean Color. I initially wanted to do an amazing glitter gradient but then saw it on the tip I fell in love!!!!!! Metallic Aqua by KleanColor is so much more potent than it looks. In the bottle it almost looks like a blue glitter but when on your nail it becomes a 1 coater metallic color. Pretty cool

Next came that rainbow done with the migi nail art pens. I used the squeeze tip and squeezed each color of the rainbow individually

Last but not last came the gems and the fast dry top coat!

Whatcha Think? : >
Feeling like a trip to the renascence fair?
Looking at these nails, seems like I have a secrete pent up desire this week.

So this all started because I have been wanted to try a cut out nail design for a while now but have not been sure how to go about it. Finally, I broke down and gave it a try with spectacular results. In fact, I liked the result so much, I did a something similar on a friend.

How I did it? Simple!
Start with a base coat and then 2 coats of your favorite polish. On the first mani I used FYI by China Glaze and on the second I used Strawberry smoothie, also by China Glaze.

Next I Choose a cool full nail design in a complimentary color and stamped the entire nail. As always, Sally Hansen insta-dri line works fabulously for stamping (and half the cost of a regular konad polish!). For the fist design I used Mint sprint and the second was Slick Slate

Next I took a q-tip dipped in nail polish remover and carefully removed a semi circle at the top of my nail. It is important that you wait till the nail is totally dry. If not, you are going to make some ugly wrinkles :(

To finish the design I added some gold beading and gems
I used a slow dry clear coat as the glue and a dotting tool to pick up and place the beads.

Finish with a fast dry clear coat (I used Seche Vite) to seal the deal and you are ready for the fair :)

Do ya like it?! :D
I got a good one for you today!!
I was in the mood for something earthy. You know, vines or leaves and earth or what not.
Well, this is what I got!
What do you think?

Here is how I did it!
I started with a base coat by China Glaze
Then 2 coats of refresh mint by China glaze
This color is AMAZING by the way!!!! It took just one well placed coat and it was completely opaque. The formula wasn't overly thick either, a good consistency really. In fact considering its consistency I was surprised that it covered as well as it did.

Next I took a teal color from the Sally Hansen insta-dri line Mint Sprint and used a leafy design from my bundle monster fauxnad plates. The design and plate number isn't important, something earthy, leafy or viny will do. Even if you have the stamp for just one leaf you can stamp the nail multiple times with the same image to create a similar effect.

Next I used a dark brown from OPI espresso your style and painted in a tip. I did this with short strokes with the brush in the same direction as if I was painting my nails. I don't know about you guys, but the swipe across tip just never really works for me.

I then took a metallic Revlon color called Copper Penny and stamped a wavy design over the tips. It came out very subtle and made me wish I had grabbed the China Glaze platinum gold instead.... still it was good enough.

Finally for the gold beading. Difficult? No. Time consuming? Yes.
I used a slow drying clear coat so that I would have enough time to move the beads where I wanted them.
I can't recall the name off hand but it is from sally Hansen and is meant to be used as a base coat nail hardener. I painted a line of that clear coat where I wanted the beads to go and then used a dotting tool to pick them up.I picked up about 4-6 at a time starting out and placed them roughly where I wanted them and then pushed them gently into a straight line. Eventually you pick up enough to fill the nail and then just use your tool to push them into the perfect spot.

Seal this business with a coat of seche vite and you are done!

Black and silver with a rhinestone accent

This has to be one of my favorite manis! That and it lasted for 4 days with only minimal tip wearage before I changed it up :)

Here is how I did it:
Used China glaze strong adhesion base coat.
1 coat of Smoke and Ashes by China Glaze. Seriously, just one coat! Of course the horrible lighting in my newbtastic picture doesn't show of just how amazing this color is. The black has flecks of green and gold glitter that breathe life into it!
I then took silver sweep, from the Sally insta Dri and used a bundle monster nail plate to stamp an image across the entire nail
I then took smoke and ashes and painted the tip in.
I finished it of by adding a rhinestone accent along the tip.

LOVE IT!!!

Instead of sealed with a kiss, this is sealed with Seche Vite  <3
